The 2011 Variety Bash – Victoria
The Bash is a hilariously madcap event – involving outrageously themed cars and participants. It is not a race or a rally, but a fun social event - or in the words of Dick Smith, “A drive in the outback with a few mates”. It’s a madcap event designed to put the FUN back into fundraising, with all donations going to assist Variety the children’s charity Victoria.
In 2010, Variety the children’s charity Victoria celebrated its 20th Bash and in twenty years has covered a staggering 80,180 kilometres and has raised over $15 million for children in Victoria.
In 2011, the Variety Bash Victoria is travelling to the wild and beautiful state of Tasmania. Departing from Melbourne on Monday 22 August, we will spend our first night in Regional Victoria before crossing the Bass Strait.
The annual Variety Bash is Australia’s most successful charity motoring event. It is the focal point of many hundreds of supporters of Variety, who fundraise throughout the year to help support children with special needs.
